Comments
Visitors leave comments on our site through the comment form. We collect the information shown in the form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent, to detect spam.
We may send an anonymized string (hash) from your email to the Gravatar service to check if you use it. You can review Gravatar’s privacy policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.
Once we approve your comment, your profile picture appears publicly alongside your comment.
Media
Avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Other visitors can download images and view any included location information.
Cookies
- Comments: You may opt to save your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience. These cookies last one year.
- Login Page: We set a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and disappears when you close your browser.
- Login Cookies: We use cookies to save login info and screen display choices. Login cookies last two days; screen options cookies last one year. Selecting “Remember Me” keeps your login active for two weeks. Logging out deletes these cookies.
- Post Editing: When you edit or publish an article, we save a cookie indicating the post ID. It expires after one day and does not contain personal data.
Embedded Content from Other Websites
Some articles include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles). Embedded content behaves as if you visit the other website directly.

When you request a password reset, the system includes your IP address in the reset email.
